SA) – Our client is one of the leading fintech payments technology company that facilitates transaction acceptance for banks and businesses based in South Africa is looking to hire  IT Operations and DevOps Specialist to join our dynamic team. This non-managerial role will focus on executing IT operations tasks, implementing DevOps practices, ensuring robust security measures, particularly with a focus on PCI-DSS requirements, SSL/TLS certificate management, supporting remote IoT systems on behalf of customers, and managing SQL databases including PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server.

 

The successful candidate should embody the following personal attributes: Proven hands-on experience in IT operations and DevOps within a fintech environment.  Proficiency in managing AWS services, VMWare environments, and IoT platforms. Experience with Fortigate, Cisco, Windows Server, Ubuntu, CentOS, and Stellar. Advanced scripting skills for automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash). Intermediate-level SQL database management experience with PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server, focusing on financial data integrity and security. Knowledge of PCI-DSS compliance and security best practices in the context of financial transaction processing. SSL/TLS certificate management expertise, with a focus on securing financial transaction channels. Experience with Postilion, Tandem, and other payment gateways is advantageous. Excellent communication and collaborative skills.

 

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Certifications related to AWS, VMWare, Fortigate, Cisco, DevOps, IoT, and SQL, with a particular emphasis on those relevant to fintech and financial services. Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), especially in the context of hosting financial transaction processing systems. Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, tailored to fintech and financial transaction security requirements. Attractive remuneration package.
