Our client in agriculture sector is looking for quite a senior person to handle the planning, and harvest collection and distribution to the tobacco merchants. Not necessarily someone with forestry experience but s/he would have to be able to demonstrate a common sense approach to understanding a product about which they may not have the detailed background about.

The incumbent will be responsible for programmes Management. Oversee Production, Planting, and growing of timber – from Nursery to Forest. Oversee All Matters Pertaining to the efficient running of the growing projects. Manage the employees assigned the role of planting and maintaining the forest projects. Preparation of management budgets at operational level. Must be able to communicate clearly verbally and in writing with the end customer (the tobacco merchant in this case). The job involves the organisation, loading of approximately 700 trucks a month across 50 sites in the Mashonalands, must be very Excel literate, Class 4.
