REGIONAL MANAGER

(Steel Products Industry, Kitwe/Solwezi Zambia) – Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of high-quality steel products and value-added steel solutions in Tanzania. Renowned for delivering exceptional quality and outstanding customer service, they continue to expand their footprint across the region. As part of their growth strategy, they are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Regional Manager to join their team and lead operations in Zambia. This pivotal role requires a dynamic professional with expertise in regional business management, operational excellence, and team leadership to oversee and drive the company’s growth in the Zambian market. The Regional Manager’s primary responsibility will be to introduce, promote, and sell the innovative products, services, solutions, and technology to both prospective and established clients within Zambia and the Copperbelt area whilst ensuring that the business is running efficiently.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prospecting, forecasting, business development, territory management, and account management. Achieving sales targets and full accountability in the sales process, from negotiation to payment realization. Coordination with the technical team for pre-sales and post-sales technical requirements of customers. Maintaining business ethics, timely reporting, and proper documentation. Developing market knowledge and managing lead generation. Managing tender applications. Overseeing supply chain and daily operation activities, including shipping, warehousing, transport, distribution, sourcing, and inventory control. Planning, scheduling, and reviewing workloads to meet targets on a cost-effective basis. Performing quality control by ensuring that all goods received and shipped are in alignment with specifications and quality standards. Managing day-to-day business operations, ensuring compliance with country requirements (tax, registrations, documentation etc).
REQUIREMENTS:
Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Management. Minimum 2years of relevant working experience, with a strong understanding of organizational effectiveness, sales, and operations. Expertise in strategic planning and transportation of products, ensuring timely and intact delivery of goods. Proven experience in negotiating and working with freight forwarders, overseas factories, and suppliers. Strong knowledge of budgets, forecasting, and metrics. Prior experience in the mining industry would be advantageous. Knowledge of construction, steel industry, and PEB would be beneficial.
